4th S.I.F.T. OFFICIAL INVITATION
Dear friends and football enthusiasts,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 4th Skiathos International Football Tournament (S.I.F.T.).
This 5-a-side football event is organized by the SIFT Organizing Team with the support of the Municipality of Skiathos and the International Police Association (Hellenic Section).
The tournament will be held from Friday, June 11th (opening ceremony) to Sunday, June 13th, 2027, on the beautiful island of Skiathos – one of the most stunning destinations in the Aegean. Matches will take place throughout the weekend, offering an exciting schedule for both participants and spectators.
Playing football on Skiathos combines the love for sport with a unique holiday experience. With its pristine beaches, natural beauty, and welcoming atmosphere, the island provides the perfect setting for football, camaraderie, and relaxation.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
General Information
All matches will be scheduled within carefully programmed time slots to ensure a smooth flow throughout the tournament. Additionally, specially curated excursions can be arranged upon request.
The tournament will be held on outdoor pitches at the Skiathos Sports Complex, with matches played in a 5-a-side format.
Tournament Schedule
- Friday: Opening Ceremony
- Saturday: Group Stage Matches
- Sunday: Knockout Rounds, Finals, and Closing Ceremony
Match Details
- Pitches feature high-quality 6th-generation artificial grass.
- Goals will be futsal/handball-sized.
- Matches will be played with a Size 4 ball.
- Each match will last 15 minutes, with no halftime break.
- Players are required to wear futsal boots or specialized astro turf football boots at all times.
- Shinguards are mandatory to minimize the risk of injuries.

No team? No problem!
The tournament is open to:
- Amateurs
- Police officers, firefighters, military personnel, coast guards, customs officers, tax officers.
- Personnel of the Ministry of Interior, EU agencies, and international organizations.
- State, provincial, or municipal employees.
- Staff from various ministries.
- Special invitees of the organization
Join us as a supporter of your favorite team! Families, friends, and colleagues are warmly invited to attend, whether to cheer on their team or simply enjoy a relaxing holiday on the beautiful island of Skiathos, Greece.
Participants bringing immediate family, partners, or friends will enjoy the same rates as team members. This includes airport transfers and access to special discounts on planned excursions.

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE: € 180 per team
The entry fee also includes:
- Trophy for each participating team
- Participant ID cards
- Opening and closing ceremonies

- Souvenirs and local products from Skiathos for each team
ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL
Participants are free to arrange their own accommodation. Skiathos offers a wide variety of hotels, apartments, and villas to suit all budgets, many of which are conveniently located near the sports facilities and beaches.
On our website accomodation, you will find a selection of suggested accommodation options and travel tips to help you plan your stay. Extra nights before or after the tournament can also be arranged individually by participants. Don’t forget to quote SIFT2026 in your communication with the hotel to guarantee the best prices.

- 3 nights’ accommodation in a 2, 3, 4, or 5-star hotel
- Hot and cold breakfast buffet
Note: Tourist tax is not included and must be paid upon arrival at the hotel.

Transport
Return airport/port transfers to and from your accommodation are available at a special price for those who request them. This includes participants booking extra days before or after the tournament dates.
Visa Requirements
For teams requiring a visa to enter Greece, please ensure the S.I.F.T. organization receives a list of all delegation members by March 31st, 2027. The list must include:
- Full names (family name and given name)
- Date of birth
- Passport numbers
- Passport issue and expiry dates
Note: Visa procedures at Greek embassies are strict. Late applications may not be processed in time. The organization is not responsible for delays due to late entries.

The organization cannot be held responsible for any damage or injuries caused during or resulting from participation in this tournament. Participation is at your own risk.
We strongly advise all teams to secure comprehensive travel insurance, including medical coverage, for their stay in Skiathos.
